![]() It was surprisingly warm in the cave about 75-80 degrees and wet so make sure you grab yourself a pair of food shoes prior to entry. One of the tours was hidden path tour (more difficult path but more unique features) and the other discovery tour (family friendly, easy to navigate and good for first timers). The offered 2 tours each which cost $31 per person. I never seen anything like this before, so I was impressed by the caves.The fact that caves were natural was cool and the history of caves was attention grabbing. Very cool lit up boats coming down the River. If you plan to, check to see when the next parade of lanterns is. I highly recommend stopping down here if you are passing through. It’s beautiful, classy, a great place for your family, or just you and your significant other. There’s often live music at a place or 2, and even a drug store for your misc needs. There are a lot of places to eat, or get treats. However most places you sit and eat will have railings and such. The water level is just beneath sidewalk level and many areas do not have railings and you can be right next to it. The walkways are right at rivers edge on both sides. We like the day, but we often find ourselves doing other things that are closed in the evening, and visiting the River walk at night, but it’s a great spot any time of day. You should visit during both times and see if you have a preference. The San Antonio River Walk is a very neat area. Hopefully you enjoy yourself if you decide to visit! They also sell Water and Frozen Snacks, as well as overpriced junk food! Gift shop has some fun items, and while priced a little high in my opinion, I understand it's proceeds are going to support their restoration efforts, fair enough in my book. Every piece had an in-depth explanation nearby, and staff were always present to assist. The staff was incredibly informative, very nice and proffered details on each exhibit as requested. An immensity of information that I was completely unaware of was revealed through the in-depth exhibits and artifacts presented throughout, and they offer an audio tour for those that prefer their exhibits in Stereo, but this feature comes The Alamo is just SOAKED in history, listing all of the fighters known of, with flags, carved stones, plaques, statues and gardens dedicated to their legacy. ![]() It's not too bad, but still very noticeable. If you're looking to party during the day, you can enjoy one of the many boat parties that depart from the area. Further along the strip is Café Mambo, where party-goers can enjoy a more lively atmosphere in a place where some of the best DJs on the planet play and a popular place for clubbers to enjoy pre-parties.īut you don't have to go to the strip to enjoy one of San Antonio's magical sunsets! Great places to admire this wonder of nature are also Las Salinas beach, San Antonio Bay and Cala Benirrás.
